In addition to the core academic subjects, Montessori Academy of Chambersburg provides Spanish instruction to children age 18 months through 8th grade. Spanish classes are taught to all children as a requirement.
Children develop awareness of the Spanish culture around the world and acquire skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing Spanish. Beginning early allows us to capitalize on the sensitive period for language in the toddler classroom, and students continue acquiring Spanish vocabulary and building conversation skills and fluency throughout the preschool, elementary and middle school programs.
